Alvarez and Marsal are in the process of establishing a loan servicing platform in Greece. Within this context the servicer will seek to hire a Head of Operations based in Greece.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the ΙΤ, MIS, Accounting & Finance, Legal and HR functions and reporting directly to the CEO
  • Develop and oversee the middle and back office
  • Responsible for office infrastructure, operational and administrative functions
  • Responsible for the development and supervision of operational processes and
  • procedures for the servicer in alignment with A&M Group.
  • Evaluate, address and manage all aspects of company’s operational risks and ensure regulatory alignment
  • Oversee and ensure the proper functioning of all, internal and external, IT applications and systems
  • Work closely with A&M Group IT to ensure alignment with Group IT policies and procedures
  • Manage the development, update and implementation of contingency and business continuity plans
  • Ensure the development and submission of accurate and timely (portfolio/financial) reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Supervise the accounting & finance function and the production of company’s financial statements
  • Monitor budget implementation and expenses
  • Work closely with A&M Group HR and A&M Group Legal to ensure smooth provision of services and service level agreement adherence
  • Manage the process of evaluating and selecting 3rd party service providers and vendors and closely monitor the corresponding outsourcing contracts / service level agreements
  • Work closely with other internal functions (e.g. claims management) to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications & Skills

The ideal candidate would possess the following attributes:

  • Extensive experience in a banking or collections environment, preferably in different roles (e.g. IT, operations, reporting functions)
  • Very good knowledge of banking and collection IT systems, processes and procedures
  • Good understanding of lending practices and NPL management regulatory framework
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills
  • Manage a complex workload that includes multiple tasks and conflicting priorities
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication and negotiations skills
  • Focus on detail & quality
  • Analytical skills, highly organized
  • Sound business and professional ethics
  • Excellent knowledge of English language
